Dear colleagues,
As some of you are already aware, our union, AGSEM, is in the midst of a drive to unionize sessional course lecturers at McGill University. We are the only contract faculty in the province of Quebec who do not enjoy the protections of a union and, because of it, our jobs are much lower paid and less secure than those held by our counterparts at other colleges and universities.
We are confident that we can change this absurd state of affairs but to do so we urgently need your support! If you have worked as a course lecturer, course instructor, or adjunct professor (or you know someone) at McGill at any time since January 2010, we need you to sign a union membership card and to encourage your colleagues to do the same.
