Hi,<\/p>\n

We are pleased to invite you to the 2nd<\/sup> edition of\u00a0REVISIONING THE AMERICAS THROUGH INDIGENOUS CINEMA<\/em> that will be held in\u00a0Montreal and Kahnawake <\/strong>on June 17, 18 and 19th<\/sup> 2010<\/strong> as part of the annual\u00a0First People\u2019s Film Festival Pr\u00e9sence autochtone<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The event aims to create a space for\u00a0Native filmmakers\/videomakers, distributors, producers, scholars as well as people from local indigenous communities<\/strong> to meet and discuss in order to bring about a collaborative reflection on Indigenous cinema in the Americas. Our 2nd<\/sup> edition will commemorate the\u00a020th<\/sup> anniversary of the Oka crisis of 1990<\/strong> by proposing activities on the role of film in this significant event.<\/p>\n

Conferences, round table discussions and panels\/forums<\/strong> with\u00a0Alanis Obomsawin (filmmaker<\/em>, Canada), Elizabeth Weatherford (Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian), Lorna Roth (U. Concordia), Mich\u00e8le Rouleau (producer<\/em>, Canada), Reaghan Tarbell (filmmaker<\/em>, Etats-Unis),\u00a0Leire Fern\u00e1ndez (UNESCO, Cuba), Kenneth Deer (The Eastern Door<\/em>, Kahnawake) and other guests.<\/p>\n

Nous souhaitons vous annoncer la tenue de la 2\u00e8me<\/sup> \u00e9dition de\u00a0REGARDS AUTOCHTONES SUR LES AM\u00c9RIQUES, <\/em>les 17, 18 et 19 juin 2010, \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al et \u00e0 Kahnawake, dans le cadre du festival\u00a0Pr\u00e9sence autochtone<\/em>.<\/p>\n
