Nous souhaitons vous annoncer la tenue de la 3\u00e8me<\/sup>\u00a0\u00e9dition du colloque international\u00a0REGARDS AUTOCHTONES SUR LES AM\u00c9RIQUES\u00a0<\/em>qui se tiendra\u00a0<\/em>les 4 et 5 ao\u00fbt 2011, \u00e0\u00a0Montr\u00e9al<\/strong>\u00a0et \u00e0\u00a0Kahnawake<\/strong>, dans le cadre du festival\u00a0Pr\u00e9sence autochtone<\/em>.<\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement collaboratif rassemblera\u00a0chercheurs universitaires<\/strong>,\u00a0cin\u00e9astes\/vid\u00e9astes et autres professionnels du cin\u00e9ma autochtone,<\/strong>\u00a0repr\u00e9sentants d\u2019organismes subventionnaires et gens des communaut\u00e9s autochtones locales dans le but d\u2019engager une r\u00e9flexion collaborative sur le cin\u00e9ma autochtone dans les Am\u00e9riques.\u00a0Des<\/strong>\u00a0conf\u00e9rences et des tables rondes<\/strong>seront l\u2019occasion de chercher \u00e0 mieux comprendre le r\u00f4le des exp\u00e9riences et des regards cin\u00e9matographiques autochtones dans ce que sont et ce que peuvent devenir les Am\u00e9riques.<\/p>\n

We are pleased to invite you to the 3nd<\/sup>\u00a0edition of\u00a0REVISIONING THE AMERICAS THROUGH INDIGENOUS CINEMA<\/em>\u00a0that will be held in\u00a0Montreal and Kahnawake\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0August 4th<\/sup>\u00a0and 5th<\/sup>\u00a02011<\/strong>\u00a0as part of the annual\u00a0First People\u2019s Film Festival Pr\u00e9sence autochtone<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The event aims to create a space for\u00a0Indigenous filmmakers\/videomakers, distributors, producers, scholars<\/strong>,<\/strong>representatives from funding organisms as well as people from local indigenous communities\u00a0to meet and discuss in order to bring about a collaborative reflection on Indigenous cinema in the Americas. Conferences and panel discussions\u00a0will offer an opportunity to reach a greater understanding of the role of Indigenous film experiences and perspectives in what are, and what can become, the Americas.<\/p>\n
