DESCRIPTION:Ultraviolet Waves: The Spectrum of Futurisms\n \n  \nMarch 22nd\, 5-6pm on Zoom. \nRegister on Zoom here to attend the workshop. \nA workshop on voice amplification\, image making and cognitive dissonance. \nThis workshop will focus on the following:\n1) demystifying immersive technologies (how do we stray from being just a consumer or in the dark? how do we engage proactively?)\n2) being reflective of late stage representation (what are we beyond our identities and how do we offer parts of ourselves consensually?)\n3) developing strategies of critical mass activism\n\n\n\nAndi Vicente (they/them) is an artist currently based in Tiohtiá:ke/Montreal. DESCRIPTION:Empowered Expressions: Open Mic and Dance Party\n \n  \nAn evening of entertainment\, empowerment and celebration of Black Trans musicians. The event will start off with an open mic session\, open to everyone who wants to showcase their talents and share their stories with the audience. \nAfter the open mic\, the event will transition into a live music and dance party\, with performances from some of the best Black Trans musicians in the area. \nFeaturing performances by Apollin\, Mx Holmes\, and Blxck Cxsper. \nMarch 22nd at Théâtre Sainte-Catherine \nDoors at 7pm\, 8pm to close. \nTickets are free! \nTo perform at the open mic please register at bit.ly/empoweredexpressions \nBiography of the host: \nTrans Trenderz is the world’s first record label dedicated to uplifting trans musicians.
