DESCRIPTION:Join us on March 25th from 6:30 pm at McEng 12 alongside South Asian Diaspora Action Collective (SADAC)\, QPIRG-Concordia\, and the Association of McGill University Support Employees (AMUSE) to watch MANTHAN (1976). This film is a fictionalized account of the extraordinary dairy cooperative movement that transformed India from a milk-deficient nation to the world’s largest milk producer. It is also India’s first crowdfunded film\, produced by 500\,000 dairy farmers who contributed two rupees each toward the production.
