Bourses de recherche d'\u00e9t\u00e9<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

QPIRG -McGill’s summer research stipends are intended to provide individuals or groups with a budget\/honoraria to work over the summer (June-August), doing research leading towards action and change within the Montreal community. We will be funding two research projects this summer, and will allocate a $4000 stipend to each project. We encourage all interested groups or individuals to apply!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications are open until May 17, 2026!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To apply, email your application to carl@qpirgmcgill.org<\/a><\/strong>. The application should be submitted in PDF format & should include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. A letter of introduction that outlines the objectives of the project, the needs it addresses, and how it fulfills the above criteria. (MAX: 2 pages, ideally in PDF format)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A CV of the main coordinators, or group, including the contact information of two references<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. A timeline of your project, with clear goals for each month as well as any follow-up work to occur throughout the Fall and Winter<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. \u00a0A budget of estimated expenses for the project (i.e. long distance calls, material purchases, travel, printing, etc.). Your budget is meant to cover both project expenses and a honorarium for the researchers. Applicants may use the entire amount of the stipend as a honorarium should they not foresee other ancillary costs. Your budget can be formatted like cet example<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Please note: QPIRG-McGill will be funding two research projects this summer, and will allocate $4000 to each project. Please ensure that your budget is within this range, and include information about any expected funding from other sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • The project fits into QPIRG mandate to promote social and environmental justice, and operates on principles of anti-oppression;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The project takes direction from communities directly impacted by the subject being researched;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The project is local in scope and fits into a grassroots model;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The project addresses a gap in the community and has long-term viability;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Le candidat ou (la) candidate a l\u2019exp\u00e9rience n\u00e9cessaire pour entreprendre le projet et le compl\u00e9ter dans les d\u00e9lais tels que propos\u00e9s (juin-ao\u00fbt)<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Examples of past summer research stipends<\/strong><\/summary>\n
        \n
      • Cr\u00e9ation d'un blog sur la sexualit\u00e9 et le handicap au Qu\u00e9bec, comprenant des articles, des interviews, des informations et des ressources sur le sexe<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Cr\u00e9ation d'un projet artistique de radio documentant les histoires des personnes noires qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 incarc\u00e9r\u00e9es au Canada<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • \u00c9laboration d'un guide de ressources con\u00e7u pour fournir une formation accessible et anti-oppressive en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 mentale aux jeunes de 16 \u00e0 25 ans<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Production d'un film documentaire sur le Programme des aides familiaux r\u00e9sidants (LCP).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Organisation d'une visite guid\u00e9e bilingue du quartier sud-ouest de Montr\u00e9al qui visait \u00e0 faire ressortir l'histoire des luttes et des combats actuels contre l'embourgeoisement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

        Responsibilities and Deliverables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        • Compl\u00e9ter le projet de recherche comme indiqu\u00e9 dans la soumission initiale. Des changements majeurs au projet doivent \u00eatre approuv\u00e9s par le Conseil Administratif ou le personnel du GRIP-McGill<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Cr\u00e9er, avec le coordinateur des finances du GRIP, un plan d\u00e9crivant la m\u00e9thode de paiement pour la bourse. (\u00c0 noter : c\u2019est de la responsabilit\u00e9 des postulantes en groupe de diviser la bourse entre les membres)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • \u00c9tablir des rencontres avec les membres du personnel ou membres du CA au moins une fois par mois pendant l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 pour faire des mises \u00e0 jour \u00e0 propos du d\u00e9roulement du projet ou pour toute forme de soutien requis<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Pr\u00e9senter au moins deux rapports au conseil d\u2019administration du GRIP pendant l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Produire un rapport final du projet comprenant un r\u00e9sum\u00e9 du travail fait<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Transmettre une copie de tout mat\u00e9riel produit au GRIP \u00e0 la fin du projet<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Consider presenting the research at a QPIRG-McGill event in the future (such as: Rad Frosh, Culture Shock, Spring Into Action or otherwise!);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Present the project at QPIRG\u2019s Annual General Meeting in April 2027;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
