From decolonizing herbalism to exploring urban plant allies, we’ll share personal, community, and professional experiences, offering practical techniques for building meaningful relationships with our plant siblings. This workshop, guided by Andrea’s lifelong journey learning from our Plant Nation relatives and Hunter’s mix-gendered Trans Clinical Herbalist perspective, creates a supportive space for reflection and dialogue. Enjoy herbal tea as we discuss repairing relations with our plantcestors, encouraging you to apply decolonial herbal practices in your life. Now, in 2024, it’s a week-long exploration of food, film, and resistance. Created for Concordia students and the wider community, this event is all about education and awareness, digging into the real impacts of colonization on communities and weaving connections with social and environmental movements.<\/div>\nThis year’s lineup includes From Palette to Plate, a hands-on food\/art workshop, The KAIROS Blanket Exercise for a profound historical experience, and Plantcestors, a workshop on plants and herbs.
