Textures of the land: Reconnecting with our roots<\/h2>\n

With Charly Cartier<\/p>\n

This event is for QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour). Register here to attend.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

An artistic exploration workshop and conversation. This event invites Queer members of the BIPOC community in a discussion around ancestry, land, pre\/de colonialism, belonging, home etc. The discussion will be launched by a short film, opening the conversation. You will then be guided into a mirror collage workshop, creating a unique piece to take home with you.<\/p>\n

Charly is a queer multidisciplinary immigrant artist living in Montreal. Their art focuses on belonging and being unapologetically themselves. Their homelands (Mauritius, Madagascar and Reunion) feeds their artistic practice in many ways. Charly ran multiple workshops in their professional and artistic life, where they pride themselves on prioritizing a safe space and accessibility for Queer BIPOC community members<\/p>\n
