\u201cSevered\u201d Screening hosted by In Pain and Insane<\/span><\/h2>\n

On October 29th, in recognition of two years of Israel\u2019s relentless genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, as well as National Disability Awareness Month in the so-called U.S. and Disability Employment Awareness Month in so-called Canada, In Pain and Insane invites you to a screening of the powerful, new, short documentary Severed. Severed follows Mohamad Saleh, a Palestinian teenager from Gaza who lost his leg at only 12 years old, and has survived five Israeli military assaults. In those attacks, he lost his home, close family members, and best friends. Mohamad\u2019s story is both deeply personal and emblematic of the thousands of Palestinians disabled by Israel\u2019s ongoing genocide in Gaza.<\/p>\n

This is an opportunity to center Palestinian voices, deepen understanding of the genocide, and build solidarity between Palestinians and the larger disability justice community.<\/p>\n

Together, we can take action on disability justice and Palestine.<\/p>\n

\nMask mandatory event; free masks will be available at the entrance to the space.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For step-free access, use the entrance at 1625 de Maisonneuve Ouest.<\/p>\n

Buzz #0205 to be let through the automatic doors, then take the elevator up to the second floor. The door to our space can be opened by automated button, and swings out.<\/p>\n

There is a paid parking lot beside the building, entrance on Guy.<\/p>\n

The space contains one gender-neutral, single occupancy, wheelchair accessible washroom. The door is not automated, it swings in, and is pretty light.<\/p>\n

Two air purifiers will be running in the space. This is a reduced scent space. We encourage people to not wear scented products at QPIRG or reduce drastically their usual use of these products (eg. perfumes, colognes, etc.).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
