How to Blow Up a Pipeline: film screening and discussion

Join us for our next summer film screening on Thursday, June 29th at 6:30pm! We will be screening How to Blow Up a Pipeline (2022), an environmentalist thriller based on the nonfiction novel of the same name by Andreas Malm.

How to Blow Up a Pipeline follows a group of environmentalists in West Texas who attempt to blow up an oil pipeline at two critical locations. The film engages with Andreas Malm’s argument that property destruction is a logical and effective form of climate activism, and his critique of climate pacifism and nonviolence.

The film will be followed by a discussion on different forms of activist organizing, sabotage as an activist tactic, and how to address the climate crisis.

Cost: Free!
