Join QPIRG-McGill for a screening of When The Pine Needles Fall, a documentary short directed by Katsi’sakwas Ellen Gabriel and based on her award-winning book. The documentary tells the story of the Kahnesatake Resistance, when the Kanien’kehà:ka community set up a barricade in response to the planned expansion of a golf course and were met with extreme state violence.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Ellen Gabriel. Light refreshments will be provided.
