Tatreez Workshop
March 26 @ 6:00 pm–8:00 pm EDT

Join us on March 26, from 6-8 PM in the QPIRG McGill Alternative Library to learn the basics of Tatreez embroidery. Tatreez is a Palestinian embroidery tradition that has been passed down through generations that carries stories of land, identity, and resistance.
This beginner-friendly workshop will be guided by local Palestinian Suzane Obeid, and will create space to learn about the significance of this cultural practice in preserving memory, identity, and as a form of resistance against erasure and ethnic cleansing.
All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Hot drinks and sweets will be served.
