1982 Film Screening

Join QPIRG-McGill for a screening of 1982 (dir. Oualid Mouaness) on May 26th from 6-9pm in ARTS W-25. 1982 follows the story of Wissam, a young boy who tries to tell his classmate Joanna that he has a crush on her, during the 1982 zionist invasion of South Lebanon.

QPIRG-McGill will also be collecting donations for displaced communities in Lebanon during the ongoing zionist aggression. Cash will be collected at the screening for Roots of Resistance, a grassroots mutual aid initiative supporting displaced communities in Lebanon through direct aid, food distribution, and collective solidarity. Rooted in community care and resilience, their work supports people facing ongoing violence, displacement, and economic hardship.
