In this 2 hour interactive workshop, we will explore why and how grassroots groups and organizations can leverage digital tools for change.
Topics to explore include:
* Why digital literacy matters
* How to manage and communicate information, and
* What free/low-cost tools are available
This will be presented by Andy Tran and Fatima Barron
Andy Tran (they/them) is a socialist, software developer, and recovering physicist. They are Vietnamese and spend their free time raising awareness and building support for the Philippine national democratic movement until its victory. WIth experiences in helping groups and organization set up websites and digital campaigns, they look forward to contributing to the McGill and Montreal community.
Fatima Barron (she/her) is a queer, neurodivergent, second-generation Filipina non-profit worker by day and an organizer and artist by non-day. With experiences in paid and unpaid communication, outreach, and facilitation, empower people with the tools needed to continue their collective struggle.
