Date: Thursday, February 7th at 7PM
Location: Le Frigo Vert (1440 rue Mackay)
Mindful Campus Initiative and the Art Hive are teaming up with us to bring you a unique experience that celebrates the importance of food in our daily lives. Join us for a delightful food and art workshop, a celebration of the profound role food plays in our daily lives. Unleash your creativity in a collaborative art-making session, where everyone, regardless of artistic experience, is invited to connect and express themselves. Following this burst of inspiration, Andrea, a Two Spirit Anishnaabe herbalist and community facilitator, will guide us through a cooking workshop. Using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, we’ll come together to create a delicious vegetarian meal. Andrea will share insights into the intersection of anticolonialism, food security, and student life struggles, emphasizing the importance of being in good relation with our plant spirit relatives for community care and connection. Join us for a unique blend of creativity, culinary exploration, and meaningful conversation!
Accessibility:
Frigo Vert is a wheelchair accessible space, with a gender-neutral bathroom.
