Rad Frosh is a three-day long alternative orientation to McGill University and Tiohtià:ke (Montreal) during the weekend of August 26 – 28 organized by QPIRG-McGill. This unique experience will give you the chance to get to know activist and community groups on campus and beyond, while also introducing you to more social justice issues. We have a schedule packed full of fun, workshops, food and so much more! Some of the weekend’s activities include a dance party, radical guided tours, workshops, a karaoke night, and a drag show! We can’t wait to have you!
This year’s theme is “Reaching Across, Reaching Towards”, thinking about how we can each help grow healthy, long-lasting activist communities. When dreaming of what these communities can look like, we imagine reaching across generational divides to connect with the knowledge and experience of activist elders. We imagine reaching across different activist communities, across borders and prison walls to learn from and build solidarity with those whose struggles are both similar and different from us. We begin to question the lines that separate different “social issues”, and see the ways that they are all connected to each other. When we reach across these divides, together we can begin to reach towards our collective future, realizing our dreams of peace, freedom, and justice for all.
