About GRASPé

Le Groupe d’action et de sensibilisation au pouvoir étudiant / GrassRoots Association for Student Power (GRASPé) est un groupe autonome d’étudiant-e-s de McGill s’organisant sur des bases non-hiérarchique et de prise de décision par consensus. Il vise à passer à l’action afin de provoquer un changement politique et social radical. Le GRASPé soutient les étudiant-e-s dans la réappropriation de leur université des mains des bureaucrates qui s’attaquent aux services étudiants, augmentent illégalement les frais de scolarité internationaux et compromettent le gel des frais de scolarité. Le GRASPé travaille aussi avec les mouvements sociaux dans leurs efforts de construction d’une societé plus juste, libre et égalitaire.

The GrassRoots Association for Student Power / Groupe d’action et de sensibilisation au pouvoir étudiant (GRASPé) is an autonomous, non-hierarchical group of McGill students committed to direct action who organize on a consensus-based model to further radical political and social change both on and off campus. On campus GRASPé seeks to empower students to take back their university from the sort of callous administrators and bureacrats who have expelled essential student services, illegally raised international tuition, and repeatedly undermined the tuition freeze. Off campus GRASPé works with wider social movements in an effort to build a more just, free and equal society.
