Prisoners’ Justice Day
Prisoners’ Justice Day will have a week of events from August 5th to 10th, 2026.
Prisoners’ Justice Day is an annual day memorializing the people who have died in prison the previous year; this tradition started in Millhaven prison (Bath, ON) in 1975, with 11 demands, including the right to meaningful work with fair wages, to vote, to open visits and correspondence, and more.
